Robert Murphy became The Flood Nerd after leaving a 20-year advertising career to build a company focused entirely on flood insurance. Since 2015, Better Flood has been built on a simple idea: flood insurance should be clear, shopped carefully, and explained in plain English – not dumped on people as a confusing last-minute expense. We believe the more you know, the safer and more confident you feel. That is why we care so much about education, guidance, and helping people understand their real options.
